This is what I found on the internet:
"This small rooster brings good luck according to the Italians. Hand formed and hand painted in Italy. The "Galletto" rooster pattern's main motif is a crowing rooster that symbolizes good wishes for blessings, prosperity and well-being. This yellow and green rooster is hard to find. Usually they come in blue and red. It is marked Made in Italy on the bottom. Signed V.B. and numbered 28."
